Veterinary Technician

Isabella

Isabella has been working in the veterinary industry for 6 years and has a wide range of animal exposure. She has experience with cats and dogs, pocket pets, reptiles, birds and waterfowl, goats, sheep, horses, and cattle. Back in 2022, she had the unique opportunity to work with birds of prey as a hospital intern at the Cascade’s Raptor Center Wildlife Rehabilitation Clinic. Isabella simply loves all creatures big and small!

In June 2023, Isabella earned her 5-year bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Oregon, majoring in Human Physiology and double minoring in Biology and Chemistry. During this time, she taught for 2 years as an undergraduate anatomy instructor in the university’s human cadaver lab, served as president for the UO Pre-Veterinary Medical Club, and skated with Eugene’s Emerald City Roller Derby team.

Isabella has been working towards becoming a veterinarian since her early childhood and recently finished applying to veterinary school. While Isabella is fascinated with all aspects of veterinary medicine, her primary clinical interests include cardiology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, nutrition, muscle physiology, radiology, and geriatric care.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Isabella enjoys working out at the gym, running, skiing, trying new cuisines, and attending Ducks football games. She also has a creative side and likes to draw, practice photography, cook, and bake. Isabella and her boyfriend live together in the Santa Clara neighbourhood with their sweet kitten, Maus, who was rescued by the Santa Clara Animal Hospital. She is eager to provide quality medical care, a safe environment, and compassion to pets and their families. Isabella thanks you for allowing her to be a part of your pet’s care team as she grows her knowledge in preparation for veterinary school.
